Jake Vella Is Discharged From Hospital Just In Time For Christmas
Jake Vella, a young triathlete diagnosed with ROHHAD NET, was today discharged from Mater Dei hospital; just in time for Christmas!
Jake was rushed to the ITU (Intensive Treatment Unit) in November, after having difficulty breathing. He was kept there for three weeks, and was then released from the ITU some time last week. They kept him under close observation for a week, but was officially discharged today.
While in hospital, Jake let everyone know that he was doing well, but missing his dog Maya. He also appealed to people who want to support him to donate to the Association of Abandoned Animals, which runs a shelter in Bir?ebbu?a.
