Labour Erects Spoof Billboard, Emoji And All, Mere Hours After PN’s Spelling Mistake Slip-Up
It’s day one of the European Parliament and local council election campaign and the battle of the billboards is already in full force.
Mere hours after the PN unveiled two billboards with a spelling mistake, the Labour Party hit back strongly, erecting its very own spoof billboard by the University of Malta.
The PL billboard displays the PN’s Flimkien Għal Pajjizna (Together for our Nation) slogan, but with the word Flimkien replaced by Kontra (against) and a tagline “Sorry, we made another mistake”.
In what must surely be a first in Maltese politics, the billboard also contains a face palm emoji.
Meanwhile, the PN has erected new billboards, this time with the proper spelling, with the words ‘Il-ħajja tkompli togħla għalik’ (The cost of living keeps on rising for you).
