A 48-year-old woman is at risk of dying after reversing into a car and a bus stop in Ta’ Xbiex.

The incident occurred at around 2.15pm yesterday afternoon along Triq il-Prinċipessa Margerita, Ta’ Xbiex.

The woman, who resides in Naxxar, was driving a Volkswagen Polo, and while she was reversing, she hit a parked Suzuki Alto, as well as a bus stop.

The woman was transported to Mater Dei Hospital by a medical team and an ambulance, where she was certified to be suffering from serious injuries.

Magistrate Kevan Azzopardi has ordered an inquiry.
