A chest freezer that was dumped in a Burmarrad field earlier this month has still not been removed – though it has just moved a bit.

”Unfortunately, no one has bothered to do anything about this. It just moved metres away when Storm Helios hit,” a local told Lovin Malta.

The freezer survived the heavy rainfall Malta that rocked the country on 9th February. It was last spotted resting in a puddle deeper within the surrounding fields.

Onlookers are upset about the lack of care from both the authorities and the people/person who dumped the large appliance.

Weeks have gone by, yet nothing has been done.

To get rid of bulky waste you can contact your Local Council or visit a Civic Amenity sites. More information can be found here.

Are you surprised the dumped freezer remains there?
