‘Honouring Nicolette’s Life And Beautiful Soul’: Funeral To Be Held On Saturday In Naxxar
The funeral of Nicolette Ghirxi, who was tragically murdered on Monday, will be held this Saturday 17th August at the Divine Mercy Church in Naxxar.
The service invites all those who were touched by Nicolette’s vibrant presence to gather at 8.30am to celebrate her life and spirit.
Her family and friends have asked attendees to avoid wearing black on their posts on social media but rather to wear colours to reflect the joy Nicolette spread through her vibrant soul.

“Nicolette was taken from us far too soon in the most unimaginable and tragic way. We must all support the fight against violence towards women, and so, in lieu of flowers, the family kindly request that any donations be made to the Women for Women Foundation,” Nicolette’s family requested.
Donations to animal shelters are also appreciated with respect to Nicolette’s pets and her love of animals.
Nicolette was stabbed to death on Monday morning. Police officers tracked her ex-boyfriend Edward Johnston to a beach in St Julian’s, where he confessed to the murder. They shot him dead after he refused to drop a gun he was holding, which turned out to be a replica, and instead pointed it at the police.
