A horse-drawn carriage has overturned in Valletta after the horse pulling the carriage “slipped” for an unknown reason, police have said.
At around 5:30 Monday evening, the carriage ended up hanging off of the barrier as the horse lay on the floor, before getting back up, apparently unharmed, according to the police.
No-one was harmed in the incident.

On the 11th of August, a demonstration was held in Triton Square in Valletta demanding an end to horse-drawn carriages after one horse died and another horse slipped and was seen lying on the ground within a few weeks of each other.
