Italian Man Becomes Second Construction Site Fatality Of The Day After Deadly Fall In St. Julian’s

A man has died after a severe fall in St Julian’s today, making him the second recorded death on a construction site today.

A medical team, police, and members of the Civil Protection Department were called in at around 3pm to a construction site in Triq Francis Zammit, where they certified a 40-year-old Italian man who lives in St Julian’s as dead. It is unknown what led to the fall.

Magistrate Rachel Montebello is leading an inquiry into the death. More details to follow.
