Police In Search Of Passengers Who Fled Off Plane After Emergency Landing At Malta International Airport
Local authorities are in search of an unspecified number of people who supposedly fled from a plane that had an emergency landing at the Malta International Airport earlier today.
The emergency landing was prompted by the captain of a Turkish Airlines plane who reported that one passenger was feeling unwell.
After the plane landed, multiple individuals seemingly exited the plane and fled, prompting a manhunt which occurred around 1.45pm by the Malta Police Force as well as Armed Forces of Malta.
A search is currently being conducted for these individuals on the premises and the surrounding area.
The passenger who was feeling unwell, identified as a Moroccan national, was taken to Mater Dei Hospital after landing and is currently being held under arrest.
This is still a developing story.
