WATCH: Car Bursts Into Flames And Causes Raging Blaze In Pembroke

A giant plume of smoke and a raging fire erupted on Thursday afternoon in Pembroke at 1pm after a car caught on fire.
Traffic was brought to a halt on St Andrew’s Road as authorities and emergency services worked to put out the fire as it began to trail down the road. Emergency workers took precautions to halt the fire from reaching two nearby petrol stations.
The fire had started after a Ford Focus driven by a woman caught fire for unknown reasons. It occurred in one of the most notoriously congested roads in Malta.
The road was closed off for traffic, and buses were re-routed. The fire was put out by 1.30pm.
No-one was injured in the blaze.
