Malta Book Council Chairman: ‘Joseph Muscat Is No Longer Prime Minister, He Is The Mafia’s Patron’

Malta Book Council chairman and Labour delegate Mark Camilleri has Prime Minister Joseph Muscat must resign immediately, warning that the only reason he has delayed his departure till January is to hinder justice and protect Keith Schembri.
“No leader is greater than the Labour Party – not even Dom MIntoff himself, because he ended up discredited by his own party,” Camilleri said.
“We’re in the middle of a really serious situation but those who don’t know how to read and write properly cannot understand that there is a lot of evidence of corruption involving Yorgen Fenech and Keith Schembri and that this is raising a lot of suspicion that these two people plotted the murder of Daphne [Caruana Galizia].”
“By remaining in power, instead of resigning, Muscat is sending out an explicit message that he will stay on as Prime Minister so that he can continue hindering justice and so that he can keep on defending his best friend Keith Schembri.”
“Muscat is no longer the Prime Minister of Malta but he has become the patron of the mafia and yesterday he even threatened us not to stir disorder. The only reason Muscat wants to remain in power is to hinder justice, defend his criminal friends and ensure that his successor as leader of the Labour Party will have to continue protecting the mafia.”
