Dinosaur models used to promote the release of Jurassic World Dominion in Malta actually cost €36,900.

The latest figures, which were revealed by Tourism Minister Clayton Bartolo following a parliamentary question from Julie Zahra, bring the total expense of the displays to at least €63,000.

Three full-scale velociraptors were erected in Valletta, Birgu and Mellieħa to celebrate Malta featured in the film.

Last week, other parliamentary questions revealed that the displays cost €17,100, while the official opening cost a further €9,100.

Bartolo has defended the outlay, insisting that it had promoted the country and images of the display had even reached America.

Was the money worth it?
