Manuel Delia Warns Keith Schembri: ‘You Don’t Know How Much We Know About You’
Activist and blogger Manuel Delia warned the Prime Minister’s chief of staff Keith Schembri that he is in possession of damaging information about him that hasn’t been made public yet.
“Last April, Schembri said he had business plans with 17 Black and everything died down,” Delia told an anti-corruption protest in Valletta. “It never crossed his mind that anyone would find out who it belonged to. Then his airs ended, he stopped saying he wanted to testify in court but that [former PN leader] didn’t want him to.”
“Keith Schembri doesn’t know who much we know about him. He doesn’t know what we’ll ask him if he sits down with us, let alone on the witness stand in front of a courageous magistrate.
“What Keith Schembri does know is that that there’s a lot left to discover and when the times comes he’ll either be in power or in handcuffs.”
Delia blasted Schembri for dropping a libel suit against Busuttil over corruption allegations, noting that the chief of staff’s lawyer had said his testimony on alleged corruption could incriminate himself in front of ongoing magisterial inquires.
“Who cannot testify because they might incriminate themselves? Criminals. So Keith Schembri declared he knows things that could send him to jail if he says them and he remains in power?”
“Three years, Daphne exposed Keith Schembri, Simon Busuttil called him corrupt, Schembri got offended and sued him but he has now he retracted the case. This means that Simon Busuttil was right. Simon Busuttil has won. Now that the allegations still stands, let’s say it together. Keith Schmebri, you are corrupt, you are corrupt, you are corrupt!”
