Suspected Daphne Caruana Galizia Murder Middleman Arrested And Requesting Pardon
A man suspected of acting as the middleman in the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia was arrested last week and has requested a presidential pardon.
Times of Malta reported that the suspected middleman was arrested last Thursday during a raid on an alleged money laundering ring and that Europol experts have seized devices in his possession.
The man reportedly knows the identity of the mastermind behind Caruana Galizia’s assassination which, according to an earlier report, is a “major businessman” the late journalist had investigated.
However, he is said to be requesting a full presidential pardon for past crimes in return for spilling the beans, a request that will be discussed at Cabinet today.
