Woman Who Worked At Pilatus Bank Is DCG’s Whistleblower – And She Just Testified
Daphne Caruana Galizia’s whistleblower source in the ongoing Egrant Inc. scandal has testifed under oath before Magistrate Aaron Bugeja as part of the investigations underway on the case.
Her testimony forms part of a inquiry into the DCG’s allegations of money laundering in connection with Prime Minister Jospeh Muscat and his wife, Michelle Muscat. Just over a week ago Caruana Galizia claimed that Michelle Muscat is the owner of Egrant Inc, a company set up in Panama alongside the ones set up for Energy Minister Konrad Mizzi and the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff Keith Schembri. The Muscats have strenuously denied the allegations.

The former employee of Pilatus Bank volunteered herself for testimony before the inquiring magistrate. According to Caruana Galizia’s blog post, the woman was “not asked to do so, not by [DCG] and not by the inquiring magistrate”. The blogger goes on to say that she did not reveal the whistleblower’s identity during her own testimony in court yesterday.
The former Pilatus Bank employer testified today at 3pm. Her testimony lasted three hours, until she left the court shortly after 6pm.
