Celebrating Jake’s Life With Colour, Compassion And Memorial Bike Ride: Funeral Details Announced
Puttinu Cares has announced details of the heartfelt celebration of the life of Jake Vella, inviting everyone to join in honouring his incredible spirit this Saturday at 10.30am at Birżebbuġa Parish Church.
Sharing an emotional video in memory of the young boy who touched the hearts of many, Puttinu Cares shared the details of this Saturday’s celebration.
In keeping with Jake’s vibrant personality, attendees are encouraged to dress in colour and avoid the colour black typically used in funerals.
“Jake was a Spring Baby, so let’s honour him by wearing bright and colourful clothes!” the NGO wrote on Facebook.

Given that Jake was a huge animal lover instead of flowers, the public is encouraged to consider making a donation to support animals via Revolut at 99870624. For those without Revolut, donation boxes will be available at the church on the day.
To celebrate Jake’s passion for sports, particularly cycling, a memorial bike ride will be held before the service. Cyclists will meet at the University parking area at 8.30am, with children joining from Al Fresco Birżebbuġa at 9am.
Riders are encouraged to wear their club’s gear as a tribute to Jake’s love for sport.
The corteo will leave Mater Dei hospital at 9am, followed by the bikers, and will be escorted by Transport Malta Enforcement, Police Traffic Control, and an ambulance.
For those unable to attend in person, the service will be streamed live.
This celebration will honour Jake’s incredible life and legacy as Malta comes together as a community.
