Charity Café Founder Celebrates Milestone With Homemade Chicken Burger In New Apartment
Jacob, the founder of the charitable Jacob’s Brew Café, is celebrating a significant achievement as he moves into his own apartment – and what better way to do it than making a delicious chicken burger?
Known as the Titanium Man, Jacob has faced chronic sinusitis for years, having had to undergo a series of serious brain surgeries. However, he hasn’t let this deter him from pursuing his dreams.
In 2017, he launched Jacob’s Brew – Pay It Forward in Marsaskala, a café aimed at supporting families in need by providing them with complimentary tea or coffee. This venture stemmed from Jacob’s own experience undergoing serious surgery.
Despite encountering numerous challenges along the way, Jacob has persevered, emerging stronger each time and ultimately achieving his goal of securing his own living space. To mark this milestone, he shared a photo on social media of a mouth-watering homemade chicken burger, proudly declaring it to be his “first homemade chicken burger in [his] own apartment.”
Jacob’s journey is one of resilience and generosity. In 2013, he fought for his life in the Intensive Therapy Unit (ITU), and five years later, he’s started giving back by delivering free sandwiches and coffee to families in the ITU waiting area at Mater Dei Hospital.
Jacob’s Brew not only serves delicious beverages but also contributes a portion of its proceeds to Survivors Malta, an NGO dedicated to supporting families coping with trauma.
Congrats, Jacob!
