Here’s Why This World-Renowned Gozitan Interior Designer Should Be On Your Radar
It’s so refreshing to see people from Malta or Gozo making huge waves across the world for their talent. It just makes the community really bloody proud, and we have a couple of great names beautifully repping the white and red.
It’s no news that Gozitan interior designer Francis Sultana is huge in the design industry across the globe, but if he’s not on your radar yet, here’s a list of reasons why you should be gushing over him.
1. He has one of the top luxury interior design companies in London
… and that company comes with a ton of awards to really prove the point.
2. He’s the artistic director of one of the most prominent art galleries in the big city
Sultana runs David Gill Gallery in London, which specialises in bespoke contemporary art and design.
The iconic artists who the gallery have collaborated with have had pieces in museum collections worldwide or won international awards.
3. He has never, and will never, forget his roots
Sultana always makes it clear in all his interviews that he has never lost his his Maltese (or Gozitan) roots, and before his mother passed away, he would visit her once a month on the sister island where she resided.
He still visits Malta and Gozo frequently, no doubt bringing some of the most stylish ideas wit him to our tiny island!
4. He was awarded as the ambassador of culture for Malta
“To be honoured by my home country in this way is a very proud moment for me, something I could only have dreamt of as a child growing up in Gozo,” Francis had said of his accomplishment in February 2018.
There’s that strong connection to the island again!
5. He’s designed many collections for the top names in the industry
Such as the late Zaha Hadid (a personal friend of his) Frederikson Stallard and Mattia Bonetti.
BONUS: He has one of the most fabulous homes in Malta
While talking with international mega-publication House & Garden, Francis Sultana gave the world a sneak peek into his gorgeous townhouse in Valletta; a beautiful accomplishment of his design chops and the stuff of Maltese homeowners’ dreams.
