Malta has once again shown its generosity, raising an incredible €1,528,367 during the Sal-Aħħar Nifs telethon in support of ALS Malta.

The telethon, held yesterday, aimed to raise funds for individuals suffering from ALS and other neurodegenerative conditions, ensuring they receive the care and support they need.

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Thank you for being with me until the last breath,” ALS Founder Bjorn Formosa wrote on Facebook.

Throughout the day, heartfelt stories from patients and families touched the nation, encouraging donations from across the country.

The event featured a mix of live performances, interviews, and emotional moments, uniting the Maltese community in a shared cause.

ALS Malta, led by Bjorn, has been instrumental in advocating for better care and facilities for those affected by these life-altering conditions.

The funds raised will go toward further improving patient care and supporting the DAR Bjorn Respite project, which aims to provide temporary accommodation for neurological patients, especially when their families are unable to care for them due to personal reasons, such as undergoing medical treatment.

The overwhelming support reflects Malta’s commitment to helping those in need.

Well Done ALS Malta!
