Maltese Bodybuilder Is Travelling To Nigeria To Help His Dad’s Village And He Needs Your Help
A young Maltese-Nigerian bodybuilder and nurse is raising donations to improve the healthcare situation in his father’s home village.
Daniel Umanah, 27, has grown up in Malta, his father Patrick having moved here a few decades ago.
In an impassioned Facebook post, Daniel said he wants to follow in the footsteps of his father, who had used part of his first year’s salary in Malta to help build a Catholic Church in his home village of Ikot Imoh.

“I want to continue in my father’s footsteps and keep on contributing to this very same village which is lacking in many aspects,” he said.
“As a nurse, I want to help as much as possible these village kids in the necessary health care treatment, nutrition and clothing. God presents us with this gift of life and one should not suffer from what we should have as our right.”
“Health care protection is a hot issue in developing countries. On paper, kids are protected and have primary care and good nutrition. In reality, the situation is quite different. With your help I’m sure I will succeed.”
In a series of Instagram stories, Daniel thanked the several people, who have already donated sums of money to the cause.
“Let’s go on building the bonds of friendship and goodness through cooperation and mutual respect!” he said.
