PN MP Sends Spurs Fan Robert Arrigo Victory Video For Moral Support As He Fights Cancer Battle

As PN MP Robert Arrigo continues his recovery from cancer, he received some moral support from his colleague Robert Cutajar in the form of a video of his favourite football team.

Cutajar travelled to London recently and, despite being a Manchester United fan, decided to watch Tottenham Hotspurs’ home game against Wolves.

It was a 1-0 victory for the Spurs and, as Cutajar watched fans chanting the famous Spurs Go Marching In song outside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Cutajar’s mind turned to Arrigo.

“I know that Robert is a Spurs fan but that he cannot go and see them right now,” Cutajar told Lovin Malta. “I thought of him and sent him a video.”

Grateful for the video, Arrigo shared it to Facebook, with an inspirational message.

“As I cannot, as yet, travel to see Tottenham Hotspur, my colleague Robert Cutajar kindly sent me this, with a dedication from a crowd too,” he wrote. “Thanks Rob… Life is worth living!”

During a recent interview with Times of Malta, Arrigo – who was PN deputy leader from 2017 to last July – opened up the emotional and physical pain he felt after he was diagnosed with cancer and started undergoing chemotherapy.

“When they told me I have cancer I thought I was prepared. I wasn’t. I wasn’t ready for the pain and I still fear death,” he said. “But I look forward to life and to some philanthropic projects that I’m working on.”

Will Spurs win the league this year?
