Tributes Pour In For Late Actress And Presenter Monica Attard
Maltese actor and presenter Monica Attard has sadly passed away at the age of 74 and tributes have started to pour in for the woman known tenderly for her talents.
Monica was drawn to theatre from an early age, taking part in plays in De Porres Theatre in her hometown, Sliema.
She worked both in Malta and abroad, having taken part in several RV and radio productions. She was even the presenter of programmes on Radio Malta and NET.
Opposition Leader Bernard Grech honoured the late presenter in a social media post, saying he is deeply saddened by the loss.
“Monica was a kind and intelligent person who I first got to know through the theatre. She later introduced me to Radio 101 and we started doing the legal corner.”
“Monica worked for several years in our media and made a great contribution. I salute her memory and offer my condolences to her family,” he concluded.
PN MP Claudette Buttigieg similarly took to Facebook to share her condolences.
“Rest in peace, dear Monica. A woman of great dignity and respect. An actress and presenter of excellence.”
Meanwhile, Terry Muscat looked back on their times creating “wonderful memories” while working together on Radio 101, NET Television, and in the Nationalist Party.
