‘You Have To Be Strong’: Maltese Papa Shares Hopeful Message After Break-Up
A Maltese gay couple who stole the nation’s hearts with their stories about two fathers raising a family have gone their separate ways.
Chris Vella Galea, one of the founders of the Two Papas Malta social media pages, announced the news today.
“It is not easy for me as the page Two Papas Malta has to finish like this,” he said. “It is not easy for me right now and it will take time to heal. I know that a lot of people put Two Papas Malta in their heart but life is like this – sometimes it is good and sometimes we have to pass through hard times.”
Chris will continue sharing stories about life with his two adopted children on the same page, which has now been renamed The Life of Papa Chris Malta.
“The kids will always be with us and you will still be seeing them on this page… you will start seeing new adventures. l will try to keep building this page for the better and hope that you enjoy seeing us.”
Speaking to Lovin Malta, Chris said that life is full of ups and downs.
“It makes no difference who you are, you always have to be strong even after a storm. It is never easy but everything happens for a reason. Just keep going and love yourself – the people who love you need you to be happy again.”
He said he would work on collaborations on his page.
“l still have ups and downs for now. l try to show that everything is OK, even for the kids. l have a lot of storms inside me, but l am sure that l will emerge from this as l am a strong person.”
