Chaos Ensues Throughout The Middle-East In The Past 24 Hours After 200 Iranian Missiles Strike Israel
Following the initial missile launches by Iran yesterday evening, more than 200 ballistic-missiles struck multiple key locations within Israel.
Israeli and Iranian reports show that the attacks were primarily targeted towards military facilities, however, an Israeli school did suffer damages as well. No casualties were reported as of yet, primarily due to the urgent evacuation and shelter of Israeli civilians, but debris resulting from the intercepted missiles fell on and killed a Palestinian man in the West Bank.
Further national sources claimed that despite the successful targeting of airbases and maintenance areas, the attacks ultimately did no damage to any aircraft, allowing the Israeli Air Force to continue its operations.
The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu continued to make public appearances commenting on the events. One of which, whilst in discussion with his security cabinet, Netanyahu was reported to have said, “Iran made a big mistake tonight and it will pay for it.”
“The regime in Iran does not understand our determination to defend ourselves and our determination to retaliate against our enemies,” continued Netanyahu.
However, Iranian military and political bodies show no signs of halting its attacks. In fact, videos surfaced of a meeting within the Iranian parliament, in which multiple MPs can be heard chanting “Death to America”, followed by more chanting of national slogans.
The United States president Joe Biden came out to comment about the events that transpired, stating that the attack was “ineffective.” The US delivered on its promised support to the nation, as US officials confirmed that US Destroyers contributed to the air-defence in the eastern Mediterranean Sea by intercepting multiple missiles.
Amidst the chaos, two men were reported to have opened fire within the Israeli city of Jaffa near Tel-Aviv, claiming the lives of at least six individuals and injuring 10. CCTV and social media footage showed the men commencing the attack on a train before proceeding to the streets of the city. Authorities active on the scene quickly killed the attackers and searched for an alleged third attacked, while emergency services tended to the wounded.
International fears also increased, notably with the reporting of two blasts in close proximity to the Israeli Embassy in Denmark, prompting immediate police investigation. Danish police confirmed that no injuries were sustained and that three men had been apprehended.
Deputy Assistant Commissioner Jakob Hansen told sources, “too early to say if there is a link” in regards to the blasts and the embassy itself.
Increased fears prompted many countries to call on their civilians that reside within the conflict areas to evacuate as soon as possible. China has confirmed that around 200 of its nationals have been granted safe passage. Two Maltese nationals have also returned, however the remaining passport-holders are unknown whether they wish to or have been granted a return.
The fight between Hezbollah and the IDF also continued, with the Shia Islamic group confirming that they intercepted Israeli foot troops infiltrating the town of Adaisseh on the southern border of Lebanon. Hezbollah officials claimed that they “successfully forced them to retreat.”
Similar attacks have been reported, as Hezbollah also confirmed a separate altercation with the IDF on another border village.
“For your personal safety, we ask you not to travel by vehicle from the area north of the Litani River to the south of it,” warned Colonel within the IDF, Avichay Adraee on X, “The IDF will disrupt the movements of Hezbollah elements and prevent them from carrying out their attacks. This warning is in effect until further notice.”
These advancements from the IDF into the country of Lebanon could indicate a premeditated invasion, the first since 2006.
