WATCH: Money, Pots And Pans: Protestors Boo Politicians But Cheer Former PN Leader Simon Busuttil

Rain didn’t dampen the spirit of protestors, who turned up in droves outside Parliament tonight to voice their anger at the latest developments in the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia.
Protestors filled up the square outside Parliament, banging pots and pans, waving brooms and throwing false €5,000 banknotes bearing the faces of Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, his chief of staff Keith Schembri and Minister Konrad Mizzi, as well as the flag of Azerbaijan.
They cried chants such as “barra” [get out], “ħallelin, postkom huwa ġo Kordin” [thieves, you belong in prison] and “Schembri, Muscat u Mizzi, nixtiequkom tkakku r-rizzi” [Schembri, Muscat and Mizzi, we wish you’re shitting out sea urchins].
Protestors booed most MPs as they left the building but police were well-prepared to stop them surrounding ministerial cars as they had done to Justice Minister Owen Bonnici, setting up two layers of barricades between the crowd and the politicians.
Opposition leader Adrian Delia was also heavily booed as he left the building and gave comments to the press, but the crowd cheered his predecessor Simon Busuttil, who could be seen giving victory signs as he left Parliament.
Amidst the boos, Lovin Malta approached Busuttil for a comment but he didn’t want to give one because Delia was speaking to the press at the time.
As Delia led his MPs away, the crowd could be heard chanting “Simon kellu raġun” [Simon was right].
