The identity of a decomposing body belonging to a male found in Birżebbuġa a month ago has still not been confirmed.

The body was found in Birzebbuġa on 14th July, in a parking lot near Għar Dalam.

During the last update, police had confirmed that there was no involvement from a third party and that the death isn’t one of ‘a suspicious nature’.

Forensic analysts’ investigations – through DNA testing – are still ongoing.

Prior to the discovery, no less than two elderly people were reported missing, with a police search for either of them continuing till today.
