Pelin Kaya To Be Commemorated At Women’s Day Mass In Sliema Tomorrow

Murder victim Pelin Kaya will be included in a commemoration ceremony to be held at the St Patrick’s Church, Sliema for women’s day on Sunday, 5th March at 10.15am.

Simultaneously, prayers for Pelin will be held in a mosque at Istanbul.

“Innocence has no religion, language or race,” her sister Derya Kaya said.

On the evening of 15th March at 8pm, a memorial stone will be placed on the Gzira sidewalk where Pelin’s shoes were left, and Pelin’s family will gather for her. The Turkish ambassador to Malta and Gżira’s mayor will be there too.

After the next court sitting on 16th March, Pelin’s family will also meet with Prime Minister Robert Abela, a meeting the family had accepted.
