Repubblika Informed That Suspects Named In Vitals Inquiry Will Be Charged In Court
Repubblika has been officially informed that suspects whose names feature in a magisterial inquiry into the Vitals hospitals deal will be charged in court.
The names of the suspects, the charges they will face, and the date they will get prosecuted are as yet unknown.
However, Repubblika’s lawyer Jason Azzopardi said that former Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, former minister Konrad Mizzi, and former OPM chief of staff Keith Schembri are among the people facing charges.
The inquiry, carried out by magistrate Gabriella Vella, was requested by Repubblika some four and a half years ago and was concluded late last month.
Prime Minister Robert Abela has heavily criticised Vella and undermined her credibility, accusing her of specifically timing the conclusion to coincide with the upcoming election.
