A rescue operation is currently taking place in Ċirkewwa where a group of divers found themselves in difficulty.

The Armed Forces Of Malta is on site with a number of sea and air assets in the vicinity of Rozi dive site where the AFM have coordinated the recovery of 18 divers so far.

Minister For Home Affairs Byron Camilleri also posted on his Facebook page that he was informed of the rescue operation where the AFM is joined by a medical team from Mater Dei, members from the civil protection department and the police.

The search is still ongoing.
