Robert Abela’s Misogyny Claim Is ‘Typical Diatribe Of A Dictator,’ Mark Camilleri Says In Fiery Blog

Mark Camilleri has hit back at Prime Minister Robert Abela’s misogyny claims after the explosive leak of chats between Rosianne Cutajar and Yorgen Fenech, warning it’s a “typical diatribe of a dictator”.

Abela said yesterday he was “astounded” at how PN exponents, including Metsola and Opposition Leader Bernard Grech, “associate themselves with those who, in a misogynistic and cruel fashion, kept the messages in his hands for months but decided to publish them despite a clear court order.”

However, in a blogpost, Camilleri said the Prime Minister is “doing us a big favour” by using this jarring narrative about feminism.

“It’s only misogyny if you reveal the psychopathy of a Labour corrupt politician conspiring with the alleged murderer of a journalist. Yet, this time round, as the electoral pendulum swings away from Labour, Robert is doing us a big favour in supporting Rosianne with a jarring narrative about feminism,” he wrote.

“I also have serious doubts about whether Roberta Metsola and the Nationalist Party would accept being described as my associates, but this is a typical diatribe of a dictator. Labour has been conveniently using moral principles accepted by the majority to cover up its evil and corruption, just like it does by pinkwashing.”

Camilleri warned that by keeping Cutajar in his parliamentary group, Abela is “digging even deeper into the Labour Party’s grave eventually making it harder for it to ever get out of it.”

“Robert Abela is making it absolutely clear to the whole world that the Labour Party is a criminal organisation,” Camilleri wrote.

He also dismissed Nisa Laburisti’s warnings of misogyny, hitting back that the PL woman’s group’s very existence is a “hallmark of Labour’s misogyny”.

Camilleri published hundreds of controversial private texts between Cutajar and Yorgen Fenech on Wednesday.

The intimate chats date from June to September 2019, a few months before Fenech was arrested and charged with the journalist’s murder.

While several figures, including PN MP Eve Borg Bonello, have called for Cutajar’s resignation, Prime Minister Robert Abela has said the PL MP has already paid a political price for her actions by not having a role in Cabinet.
