Team Malta Makes It To The Finals Of Tennis World Cup For The First Time Ever

Team Malta has been on fire recently, winning medals in various fields and competitions. However, the Maltese duo of Francesca Curmi and Elaine Genovese have been killing the tennis game, and their recent results confirm just how talented they are.
Malta defeated Morocco 3 – 0 to come out on top of their Fed Cup group, which is considered the World Cup of Tennis. This follows wins over Uganda and Ireland, which both ended at 3 – 0.
This led them to the finals of the promotional group where they faced South Africa. In a fiery match, they were defeated 2 – 1 to take second place in the tournament overall.
Francesca Curmi herself just recently made it into the top 80 tennis players under the age of 18 globally.
With the help of her coaches Matthew Asciak and Dali Susa and her recent wins, she shot up over 1,800 places in the Junior World Rankings.
