A 26-year-old construction worker fell to his death from an estimated seven storeys while working on a construction site in Qui-si-Sana, Sliema this morning.

The man, who is of Libyan nationality, fell to his death at around 11am, when his lifting rope snapped. According to TVM, he was married to a Maltese woman and has a daughter with her.

Police are investigating the case and the Occupational Health and Safety Authority will be expected to inquire into the circumstances of the death.
