‘Want To Close The Gap? Be More Appealing To Voters’: James Ryder Advises PN
A warning by PN MP Mark Anthony Sammut that a vote for a non-PN candidate this weekend will only help PL has been criticised by third parties and independents.
Under a Lovin Malta post, independent candidate James Ryder said Sammut is “guilt-tripping people into cleaning up the mess their own party started and the others added to”.
“You want to close the gap? Do it by being more appealing to the voter,” he said.
“Stop pretending like you’re the only possible salvation or your party will go nowhere. And stop acting like no other candidate/party is valid or the entire country will go nowhere.”
ADPD called out Sammut for “fear mongering” and spreading “disinformation”.
“A much more worrying number is the amount of seats the EPP and the extreme right are going to get at the EP… And the willingness of the EPP to work with the far right,” the Greens said.
And Volt Malta said people should vote for the people they want representing them in the European Parliament, and not think about the gap between the two main parties.
