A man who wanted to surprise his partner with a bouquet of flowers didn’t count on one thing: the Maltese delivery man.
In a hilariously awkward and oh-so-Maltese TikTok uploaded by user @gioleinik, the man said he was “just trying to be romantic” when he ordered the sweet delivery.
In the footage, a deliveryman can be seen taking out a cute bouquet of flowers for the presumed partner who had just opened her home’s door. The woman acts surprised, smiling at her partner who is recording the whole thing – and even the deliveryman flashes a big smile, caught up in the moment.
Then, his face turns super serious, and looks right at the man, begins gesturing with his fingers, and says: “you gave me a big hassle to find you”.

The couple reacted in slight confusion, with the man replying with a quick “it’s part of the video”.
The couple and the deliveryman share a final laugh before the video ends – but people in the comments had feelings about the deliveryman’s sudden statement in the midst of a delivery that was meant to be cute and romantic.
“How to ruin a nice gesture… vojt (empty),” said one online commentator. “He was waiting for some tips!” said another.
While some people were calling for the deliveryman to be reported, seeing as the couple and the deliveryman himself ended the video with some shared laughter, this’ll probably go down in the couple’s shared memory as one of their more peculiar encounters.
