Watch: George Muscat Given Gentleman’s Send-Off As Crowd Gathers In Front Of Bay Street
George Muscat, Managing Director of Gap PLC, owners of Bay Street and Hyatt Hotel, was given a gentleman’s send-off directly in front of Bay Street.
Family, loved ones, local entrepreneurs and staff members sent their last respects to Muscat and his cortège as it passed through the area he loved so dearly.
Muscat is being remembered as a man who gave so much back to the busy entertainment area.

“He will be sorely missed in the area of St Julians. He was a hard working man and very down to earth, he gave a lot to the area. I saw his investments grow..giving high value added to the tourism product,” Philip Fenech Deputy President Chamber of SME’s, told Lovin Malta during the funeral.
Gap PLC owned a number of companies, including Bay Street, be Hotel, Hyatt Hotel and AC Hotel by Marriott. Gap was founded by George Muscat, Adrian Muscat and Paul Attard.
