Watch: Heated Moment Maltese Man Aggressively Confronts E-Scooter Rider In Sliema

Footage has emerged of a heated and aggressive confrontation between a Maltese man and an e-scooter rider in Sliema.
The incident happened along the Sliema promenade earlier today. The e-scooter rider, a woman, sent the video to Lovin Malta, shocked by the hostility of the man in question.
“Bitch, slow down,” the man told the woman as she drove by.
When confronted, the man continued to call the woman “a bitch” for driving too fast on the pavement, at several points trying to hit the woman’s phone out of her hand.
“Shut up because I’ll throw you in the sea,” the man told the woman.
While not captured on video, the woman claims that the man then proceeded to push over the e-scooter and physically assault her.
Police were called. However, the woman was directed to file a report at the station later.
“I was shocked. I have been living in Malta for a couple of years and never experienced anything like this,” she said.
“I might have been driving a bit fast but still below the limit. There’s no excuse for calling me a bitch and trying to hurt me. I don’t deserve it and nobody else does.”
E-scooters, while a popular mode of transportation, have proven somewhat controversial in Malta with scores of residents raising concerns about users illegally parking e-scooters and other issues with enforcement.
