Watch: Jon Mallia Launches New Televised Każin Debate Show To Tackle Controversial Topics
Renowned podcaster Jon Mallia has launched an exciting new project – a televised debate show from the Peace Band Club in Naxxar.
Aptly called Il-Każin, the show will be modelled on the famous Oxford Union debates. Each show will revolve around a controversial topic, such as abortion, religion, and the institution of marriage, with two speakers representing each side of the debate and Jon Mallia acting as moderator.
The guests will get to express their initial opinions and challenge each other, while two fact-checkers will be present in the audience to correct any speaker who gives factually wrong information.

Jon’s goal is to provide a platform for debate that is both informational and entertaining, but also to try and bridge the gap between polarising positions and find points of possible compromise.
Patreon subscribers of Jon Mallia’s podcast will be able to form part of the audience, where they will be able to challenge the debaters.
The first debate will take place this Saturday but there will be an extended wait before the public can see them, as they will be broadcast on GO Tokis as of April 2024.
