Watch: Malta Bids Farewell To Archbishop Emeritus Paul Cremona

Archbishop Emeritus Paul Cremona was laid to rest in a ceremony at the St John’s Co-Cathedral today.
Fr Cremona, who served as Archbishop of Malta between 2007 and 2014, passed away this week at the age of 79.
In his homily, Archbishop Charles Scicluna praised Fr Cremona as the embodiment of love.
“He truly had a kind and humble heart, and we thank God for bringing him into our lives,” he said.
“The Lord called him to walk through the valley of death, but he feared no harm because the Lord is with him and gave him comfort.”
A letter from Pope Francis was also read out at the ceremony, thanking God for Fr Cremona and his loyal service to the Church in Malta.
Several people attended the funeral, including high-ranking officials such as Prime Minister Robert Abela, Opposition Leader Bernard Grech, President Miriam Spiteri Debono, and Cardinal Mario Grech.
