Watch: Maltese Boaters Scramble To Rescue Turtle Entangled Near Filfla
An afternoon sail near Malta’s southern coast ended up turning into a rescue mission as a group of boaters scrambled to untangle a turtle.
“Didn’t manage to see any free turtles today,” Seb Darmanin posted on Instagram, sharing a photo of a turtle which had been hit by a propeller and a clip shot by Max Busuttil from the rescue of another entangled one.

As the young man called out for a knife, everyone onboard offered tips on how best to free the turtle, with the whole operation lasting just over a minute.
