Watch: Man Spotted Clinging To Back Of Bus, MPT Strongly Condemns Illegal Action
A video currently making the rounds on social media shows a man clinging to the back of a public transport bus in Msida.
The footage, which was published by the Facebook page Malta Diżastru Totali, shows a man clinging on for dear life to the back of a moving bus.
Upon reaching out to Malta Public Transport for a comment, it strongly condemned the occurrence and assured that action is being taken.
“Malta Public Transport strongly condemns all acts of an illegal and unsafe nature on its property including its buses,” a spokesperson told Lovin Malta.
“The company always refers such incidents to the relevant authorities and offers its full collaboration by providing all the necessary assistance and evidence, including CCTV footage from on board the buses, related to such cases.”
While some people found the footage funny, with some comments comparing the man to “spiderman”, the action could have resulted in serious injuries.
