Watch: Passenger Reveals ’Bus Driver Asked Everyone Before Stopping To Buy Pastizzi’
A viral video circulating of a bus driver stopping for a cheeky pastizz has been lambasted online.
However, one passenger claimed that the driver actually asked everyone before picking up a flaky treat.
“I’m one of those people in the stopped bus. The driver asked us if he could get off for a moment and we said, of course,” a man named on Facebook said.
In the footage, the driver can be seen purchasing his delectables before walking back to the bus, and returning to his seat.
Malta Public Transport said they identified the driver and that disciplinary procedures were being looked into as part of an internal investigation.
It also said that it doesn’t tolerate this kind of behaviour from its employees.
This isn’t the first time a bus driver stopped to grab some food during working hours.
In February, a driver was caught on video stopping mid-route in Mellieha to buy a loaf of plain sliced bread in a carpark.
