Watch: Yacht Bursts Into Flames At Comino’s Santa Maria Bay As Three People Rescued
A yacht burst into flames last night while anchored in Comino’s Santa Maria Bay, with three people having to be rescued from the vessel.
Police told Lovin Malta they were informed that an 80-foot yacht was on fire at around 12:15am on Sunday night.
During the rescue operation, the three people that were on board disembarked the yacht and got on their dinghy, and then got themselves on another boat that was nearby.
No injuries were reported.
The Civil Protection Department was called on site to extinguish the fire and the AFM was also called in to assist.
