Sometimes when it rains in Malta, people will literally flock to promenades and fish for bream with their bare hands.

But when it storms, many among us will immediately grab a camera and make sure to document the fact that water might be falling from the sky for the first time in 300 days.

Can you blame them? No. Do you like looking at pretty pictures of thunderstorms? Yes.

So do we – so here are some of the best images around of the first September 2019 storm in Malta:

This photo was sent to The Weather Page Malta by Silvaine Scerri Manicolo.

Self-proclaimed #stormchaser, Steve Cutajar, uploaded these shots to his Facebook this morning.

There was also this awesome reaction to the storm caught on video by Welsh-native Cameron Sansom

We also got this glorious shot of the skies before the storm started freaking out and shocking everything.

Facebook user, Norman Shaw, also took to the site this morning to share his view of the storm in Malta.

One Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississippi…

Four.
