The Return Of Wet Weekends? The Weather In Malta For April’s First Weekend Isn’t Looking Too Good

Springtime? Birds chirping? Glorious sunsets? Sunday picnics? Yeah, you might want to hold off on that Malta, because it seems like one wet weekend is coming to the islands.

Originally meant to be a fair end to a cloudy week, this weekend will actually see the weather get worse, with possible isolated showers forecasted for pretty much the next three days.

While the highs of 18°C and lows of 13°C (descending to 10°C by tomorrow) have become standard as of late, the islands might be in for a little more rain than we were getting used to, and guess what; the wind is back.

Today’s easterly Force 4 winds will be gradually climbing as they shift to northwesterly gusts of Force 5 and even 6 by Sunday. No wonder this weekend’s beloved Strawberry Festival in Mġarr has had to be postponed!
