WATCH: Cars Turn To Boats As Gżira Waterfront Floods Amidst Torrential Rains

Breaking news, it’s raining in Malta. Not so breaking news, everywhere’s flooding.

Malta’s been blasted by torrential rain today and as always there are some parts of the island that just can’t handle it.

One prime example is the Gżira waterfront which (quite literally) turns into a river every time it rains.

Water levels rise high enough for water to seep into your car and make it impossible for those parked on the road to enter.

It also causes a copious amount of traffic and some cars passing through are at risk of breaking down.

Forget walking on the front either as water levels rise well above the footpath meaning those who are at work on the front might be stuck at work for longer than they’d like.

The storm is expected to carry out for the rest of the day and although the area has cleared up slightly, the waterfront is still at risk of flooding once again.
