Watch: Waterspouts Spotted As Heavy Rain Intensifies Across The Island
A number of waterspouts have been spotted across the islands as heavy rain over Malta and Gozo intensifies.
Photos and videos sent to Lovin Malta moments ago show the towering waterspouts being spotted from Mġarr, off the coast of Golden Bay, and even in Xgħajra.

It’s been a couple of days of heavy rain and strong winds, with flooding being reported yesterday after minutes of rainfall.

Today has been just as intense, with tomorrow potentially offering some respite as the Met Office is forecasting a partly cloudy day.
Before that, however, it looks like Malta and Gozo is in store for even more rainfall and impressive sights like the ones being spotted just off our coast.
Be careful out there if you need to drive around the islands.
