This week’s headlines were dominated by the collapse of the Azure Window. But now, a couple of days since the incident, the brutally hilarious memes have given way to some well-thought-out (and time-consuming) video edits. 

Here are three videos you might’ve missed.

1. Gastronawta‘s Diżerta Dwejra

Over the course of three minutes (and with infamous Maltese political anthems blaring in the background), Gastronawta lovingly recreates the Azure Window from pieces of figolli, ħelwa tat-tork and a random Cadbury Flake chocolate bar… only to destroy it in a couple of seconds.

2. Mr. Gonk‘s Azure Window Short Film

Samwel Borg’s parody has everything you could ever hope for; a Joseph Muscat Superman, a bewildered Simon Busuttil looking on from inside a helicopter, and all the dramatic “No”s from your favourite films and TV shows. Also in there is the continuation of the Azure Window’s story.

3. Grandayy‘s Shooting Azure Window 

This pairing was just waiting to happen, and who better to combine the two than Malta’s very own top memester, Grandayy? 

The Azure Window flying off into the sky and all over the Maltese islands, only to crash right on top of the LNG Tanker is oddly satisfying. And no, we’re not over Shooting Stars just yet.
