Norman Lowell Emerges As Most Popular MEP Candidate In Lovin Malta Online Poll
Imperium Europa leader Norman Lowell has emerged as the most popular MEP candidate in an online poll carried out by Lovin Malta.
To be clear from the onset, this was not intended as a scientific study but a simple initial gauge of public sentiment ahead of the European Parliament election next June.
It only featured politicians who have been approved as candidates, so for example, the likes of Clint Azzopardi Flores – who has submitted his candidacy for PL but has not yet been approved – wasn’t included.
The results were gleaned from comments under the poll, which was published on both Instagram and Facebook.
In cases where people selected multiple candidates without giving either any specific preference, all were given a point. However, in cases where people selected multiple candidates while making their favourite clear, only the favoured candidate counted. Likes and reactions to comments weren’t included.
That being said, here are the results:
- Norman Lowell (Imperium Europa) – 44 votes
- Alex Agius Saliba (PL) – 39 votes
- Roberta Metsola (PN) – 33 votes
- Daniel Attard (PL) – 26 votes
- Peter Agius (PN) – 22 votes
- Jesmond Bonello (PL) – 20 votes
- Sandra Gauci (ADPD) – 9 votes
- David Agius (PN) – 8 votes
- Ralph Cassar & Mina Jack Tolu (both ADPD) – 7 votes
- Marija Sara Vella Gafa (PL) – 6 votes
- David Casa & Miriana Calleja Testaferrata de Noto (both PN) – 5 votes
- Louise Ann Pulis & Norma Camilleri (both PN) – 4 votes
- Arnold Cassola (Independent) – 3 votes
