2. Best Painter / Artist / Illustrator sponsored by VeeGeeBee

James Micallef Grimaud narrowly beat out Tina Mifsud and Alfie Alpha Art. Nonetheless, all the nominees are killing it in the islands’ art scene.

3. Best Sportsperson / Athlete sponsored by  Grenade 

This award went to the athlete you felt was kicking the most ass in their field, and this one was neck to neck! Footballer Haley Bugeja took home the award, beating Yazmin Zammit Stevens and Tenishia Thornton.

4. Best Fitness sponsored by Fort Fitness 

Drumroll please…. when it comes to killing it at the gym, Malta’s got a few worthy names. This year’s SMA went to Claire Agius Ordway, beating Bertu’s Gym and Denise Kim Gafa for the award.

What initiative is making Malta cleaner and greener? For you guys, it was Żibel, who also snagged they narrowly beat out Moviment Graffitti and Coast is Clear to claim this year’s SMA.

Which island spot has tantalised your taste buds the most this year? Did a restaurant do something that you absolutely love?

This year the most love went to Elephant Shoe, who just beat Marelli Cafe and Danny’s for that SMA.

8. Best Fashion Statement sponsored by Trusted Tutors 

This award is for fashionistas… and this year it was Charles and Ron’s Miss Universe Coin. Truly iconic.
