Dainty Vintage Launches In Style At Palazzo Parisio
Last Sunday, the beautiful Palazzo Parisio in Naxxar set the perfect scene for the launch of DaintyVintage.com, a new venture by Maltese entrepreneurs Kelly Pisani and Lexi Borg.
What started as a personal thrifting hobby for Kelly Pisani back in 2020 has since turned into a full online platform offering curated vintage clothing and accessories from the ’90s and 2000s.
With its official launch, Dainty Vintage is taking its place as a key player in the vintage fashion space, aiming to share its unique blend of old-school charm and modern style with a global audience.
Lexi Borg, who recently joined the venture as Creative Director, will play a major role in shaping the brand’s expansion. Their guiding principle, “to seduce with style,” perfectly sums up their goal of blending the timeless appeal of vintage fashion with fresh, modern elements. They believe that vintage is more than just a trend – it’s a way to embrace the past while celebrating the present.
A Night to Remember: Malta’s First Vintage Fashion Show
The launch event welcomed over 150 guests, many of whom are familiar names in Malta’s fashion scene. DJ Nagem Gatt set the vibe for the evening, while guests enjoyed the elegance of Palazzo Parisio. Among the attendees were fashion influencers like Stella Cini and Lorinda Mamo, adding extra flair to the already exciting night.
The real highlight came when 18 models hit the runway, showcasing hundreds of looks inspired by key vintage styles. The fashion show captured a wide range of tastes and trends – from the playful Coquette aesthetic to the dreamy vibes of Fairycore, as well as the unforgettable nostalgia of Y2K fashion,.
Photographers Lindsey Bahia and Dean Bartolo were on hand to capture the most memorable moments, ensuring that every stylish detail was documented.
“As Dainty Vintage prepares to move forward, it’s clear that this brand is more than just a fashion project—it’s a celebration of style that spans both time and trends, bringing something truly special to the vintage fashion scene in Malta.” Lexi Borg, Creative Director of DaintyVintage.com
Sweet Finishes and What’s Next for Dainty Vintage
Of course, no event is complete without a proper celebration and the evening wrapped up with a special treat: a heart-shaped dessert in Dainty Vintage’s signature colours, created by Jeanine Vella from Ganna’s Bakes. The sweet finish mirrored the brand’s playful yet elegant identity, bringing the night to a close on a high note.
Looking ahead, Pisani and Borg announced their next big move: a series of pop-up stores across Malta. These pop-ups will serve as a way to introduce the brand to more people locally, while building excitement for their international launch later this year.
Bringing the Online Experience to Life
All the outfits from the fashion show, along with 300 other handpicked pieces, will be available on DaintyVintage.com starting Sunday at midnight. The website, built on Shopify, is fully integrated with Stripe, PayPal and SSL security, making for a smooth and secure shopping experience. Whether customers are after a nostalgic look or just browsing for something unique, the site offers a wide range of vintage styles to choose from.
The team’s first pop-up store is set to open this Sunday, 8th September, at 10 AM at the Balluta Square, with additional locations planned in the near future.
