WATCH: We Got Our Mingle On At The Ray-Ban Malta #PROUDTOBELONG Event And Here’s What Went Down
Hold my wayfarers
With the summer sun making its presence pretty much unavoidable, a staple of Mediterranean fashion is now becoming a necessity while protecting from evermore harmful UV rays. From owning just one pair that “does the trick” to having multiple pairs to mix and match with your outfits, sunglasses quickly become Malta’s best friends.
And what’s more staple than a classic pair of Ray-Bans?
The team behind the classic eyewear line was in Malta recently for the launch of their #PROUDTOBELONG campaign, celebrating all things diverse and authentic.
In an exciting two-part event, they showed off the new line of eyewear and explained what it means to be a part of Ray-Ban, all while keeping guests entertained and partying in style on the roof of beautiful St James Cavalier in Valletta.
The first part of the event took place during the daytime, where sellers underwent an interactive training tour to become official certified Ray-Ban Sellers.
From the construction of the glasses and an immersive history of the brand to identifying target markets, attesting new collections and distinguishing authentic and genuine Ray-Bans against the fake harmful ones, sellers were immersed in the world of this iconic eyewear brand.
They also got to print their own t-shirts and let out aggression against imitations in the Smash Cage, to be officially certified as sellers followed by drinks and chill-time in the evening.
Part two is when things started to heat up a bit
With a nighttime party full of newly certified Ray-Ban sellers and a whole bunch of local stars, and creators, things kicked off as the sun went down with the stunning view of the Grand Harbour as the backdrop.
Between the live music, the #PROUDTOBELONG board, the Polaroid wall, the return of the Smash Cage and the Ray-Ban team themselves, there was never a dull moment.
Yasmine, Verena and Helena from Ray-Ban were there to hype up the brand and to remind everyone why we love a good pair of Ray-Bans.
In today’s market, it’s really easy to get your hands on a pair of counterfeit Ray-Bans
But just because you might save yourself some cash, it doesn’t make it a worthwhile purchase. The new “certified resellers” programme will make it easier for consumers to be sure in knowing that they’re buying the real thing. This will come in the form of a one-of-a-kind door sticker and a fancy new Ray-Ban app.
